NORCROSS - Police say a robbery suspect who hit a Norcross Wachovia branch this month didn't don the typical duds of a bandit.
Wearing an apparently well-tailored business suit, the unmasked man entered a bank at 6155 Buford Highway, wrote a teller a note with the "robbery" and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. He remains at large. Cpl. Illana Spellman, Gwinnett police spokeswoman, said it's unclear if the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle. The robbery happened about 1 p.m. Oct. 15, she said. Police described the suspect as a bulky black man, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighing about 230 pounds. Police believe he's between 40 and 50 years old. He's bald and wore no facial hair during the heist, Spellman said. Police urge anyone with information about the incident to call a lead robbery investigator at 770-513-5361.More like this story
