LAWRENCEVILLE - The Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton and Whole Foods Market in Duluth want to help kids learn to prepare healthy meals.
An ongoing initiative to encourage youth to make healthy lifestyle choices and combat childhood obesity, the Junior League kicks off Kids in the Kitchen today at Whole Foods in Duluth. The free event will last until 6 p.m. The event was set to include cooking demonstrations with healthy, kid-friendly recipes, kids' cooking classes, a special kids' corner with activities and more. The Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton is a nonprofit organization for women volunteers who provide financial assistance to fund projects that support women and children's issues.
