SUWANEE - Suwanee police are asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect who held up a BB&T Bank branch Monday morning.
Officials said the unmasked man robbed the bank, located at 2885 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, about 11:30 a.m. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man in his mid- to late-20s. He's about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a stocky build, weighing roughly 180 pounds, an official said. During the heist, the suspect wore black jeans, black shoes, a gray Chicago White Sox hooded sweatshirt and an Oakland As ball cap. The suspect did not visibly brandish a weapon but indicated he may be armed, said Suwanee City spokeswoman Lynne DeWilde. Officials didn't disclose how much cash, if any, the suspect made off with. No injuries were reported. Police urge anyone with information about the incident to contact Suwanee Police Department Sgt. Shane Edmisten at 770-945-8995.More like this story
