Chambliss: Democrats ad 'misleading'
ATLANTA - Republican Saxby Chambliss called a new Democratic ad against him 'misleading.'
The ad from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee blasts Chambliss for his support for the 'FairTax' which would create a higher national sales but eliminate the income tax.
Chambliss said Thursday that people in Georgia don't want to be told how to vote by New York Sen. Charles Schumer, who runs the Democratic campaign operation. The DSCC poured more than $500,000 into Georgia for the ad.
Chambliss has been running tough ads against Democrat Jim Martin. One targets his record and another links him to 'liberal Democrats' in Washington.
Dems appeal voter ID ruling
ATLANTA - Georgia Democrats are asking the state's top court to block Georgia's voter ID law.
The Democratic Party of Georgia is appealing a Fulton County judge's ruling last week that upheld the law, which requires voters to present government-issued photo identification to cast a ballot.
