LAWRENCEVILLE - Three Gwinnett County Schools administrators will be moving to new positions next Monday.
Berry Simmons, who currently serves as principal at South Gwinnett High School, has been appointed principal of Lovin Elementary, a position vacated by Laurie Allison, who was named a human resources area staffing director by the Gwinnett County Board of Education. Simmons has served as an administrator in the Gwinnett County School System since 1990.
Simmons' position as principal at South Gwinnett High will be filled by Clay Hunter, who moves from Susan Stripling Elementary. Hunter has worked in Gwinnett County Schools since 2000.
Cedar Hill Elementary School assistant principal Priscilla McHam will move into Hunter's position at Stripling. She has been with Gwinnett County Schools since 2001.
County schools spokeswoman Sloan Roach said the principals will be sending letters out to their students' parents today informing them of the changes.
