Mrs. Hazel Rose Bashaw, age 90, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008. She was preceded in death by her: husband, Gilbert Bashaw; great grandson, Jesse Burnette, one sister, and four brothers. Mrs. Bashaw is survived by her: daughter and son-in-law, Patricia R. and Lewis Holmberg, Buford GA; son, Donald Gilbert Bashaw, Indianapolis, IN; brother, Harry Rose, Clay City, KY; grandchildren, Tannye and David Burnette, Buford GA, Duane and Kristi Sudderth, Sugar Hill, GA, Michael and Carol Bashaw, Indianapolis, IN, Jeff and Barbie Bashaw, Indianapolis, IN, Christy and Stuart Gregory, Enterprise, AL, and Jenni Bashaw, Indianapolis, IN; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bashaw was born on December 31, 1917 in Clay City, Kentucky. She was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Clay City Christian Church in Clay City, KY. Mrs. Bashaw is the last surviving member of Powell County, KY Girl's Basketball Championship Team. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The cremated remains will be buried in Clay City, Kentucky. Arrangements by: Junior E.
