Mrs. Emogene Stonecypher Hope, age 90, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008. She was preceded in death by her: husband, Joe R. Hope, who served as postmaster of Suwanee, GA for 37 years; and parents, William and Maggie Rhodes Stonecypher. She is survived by her: son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brenda Hope, Hoschton, GA; step grandsons, Lance Stonecypher, Douglasville, GA; Jason and Wendy Marsh, Hoschton, GA; and Jeremy Marsh, Auburn, GA; two great step grandchildren, Hunter Marsh and Halie Marsh; cousins, Ronnie and Connie Buice, Brent, Bradley and Caleb Buice; and Richard and Beverly Buice and family; her special dog, Heidi; and very special friends, Dennis Hulsey, Lucille Sims, and Loretta Roberts. Mrs. Hope was born September 11, 1918 in Suwanee, GA. She worked as an electrical welder at Norfolk Ship Building while Joe was in the Armed Forces in Europe Theater. Later, Mrs. Hope worked at Vantress Farms in Duluth for twenty years and at the Falcon Complex for sixteen years. She was a member of the Buford Eastern Star and a member of the Suwanee Good Timers, Suwanee, GA. She was a charter member of Shadowbrook Baptist Church in Suwanee, GA where she was a member of the Ladies Adult Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Patchin and Rev. Bobby Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in Suwanee City Cemetery, Suwanee, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shadowbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 4187 Suwanee Dam Road, Suwanee, GA 30024 in memory of Mrs. Emogene S.
