LAWRENCEVILLE - Authorities are looking for two suspects involved in separate bank robberies in Gwinnett County. They are hoping the public can help.
At 12:50 p.m. Nov. 5, the SunTrust Bank at 6095 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Norcross was robbed, and Monday at 3:05 p.m. the Wachovia at 1625 Indian Trail-Lilburn Road in Norcross was robbed. Police think the same man is responsible. They describe him as a black man between 17 and 24 years old. They said he is between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, and between 175 and 200 pounds, with long dreadlocks. He possibly left the scenes in a new dark blue Chevrolet Malibu hatchback. The second suspect is believed to have robbed the Wachovia bank at 3400 Satellite Boulevard in Duluth at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 4, and the SunTrust bank at 4095 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville Nov. 7 at 3:20 p.m. A black woman drove the suspect vehicle, a maroon or burgundy Ford Mustang with a black stripe on the bottom, in the Wachovia robbery, police said. In the SunTrust robbery, police said a late 1990s Toyota or Honda, blue or black, was used. Police said the suspect is a black woman between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. She has black, medium-length curly hair that could be a wig. Investigators said no weapons were used in the robberies, that notes were shown to tellers. Authorities urge anyone with information about the robberies or the identities of the suspects to call D.W. Johnson with the Robbery Unit at 770-513-5361.More like this story
