Inez Gregory Browning, 87, of Dacula, Georgia formerly of Decatur, died Friday, November 14th. She is survived by her three children: Dan Browning of Cherry Log, Greg Browning of Birmingham, Alabama and Ann Childers of Snellville, Inez has 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister Ann Rary of East Cobb. Inez worked as a church secretary for many years at the Second Avenue Baptist Church of Decatur. She also worked in medical records at Georgia Baptist Hospital. At retirement, Inez was working in the pharmacy at the V A Hospital on Clairmont Road in Atlanta. Inez enjoyed church, her family, her friends and travel. She never met a stranger and loved getting to know people. Anyone who ever met her was charmed by her gracious and gentle ways. Inez was known for her attention to detail when it came to her accessories - she never donned an outfit without just the right necklaces or earrings. But her generous nature may just give you that jewelry if you said that you liked it. Concerned about everybody else her first question was always “how are you today, suga?” in her sweet southern drawl. In January 2007, Inez lost the love of her life, her precious blue-eyed husband of 67 years, Dan. She valiantly went on, even moving to a beautiful retirement community and making wonderful new friends, but life was just not the same. Dan and Inez entertained their grandchildren with stories about cleaning their house while playing music and dancing. They called their dancing around “knee-knocking.” There is probably a lot of knee-knocking going on in heaven right now. A memorial Service will be held Monday, November 17th at 1pm at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville 770-277-4550.
