SNELLVILLE - Firefighters quickly doused a kitchen fire Thursday afternoon at a home in the 4000 block of Camaron Way in Snellville, officials said.
A neighbor saw smoke coming from the two-story home and called 911 just after 4:35 p.m. Fire crews had the blaze under control at 4:54 p.m., officials said. "It appears that no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported," said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge. The blaze caused heavy damage to the kitchen and sent smoke and heat throughout the structure, Rutledge said. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.More like this story
