Movie: 4 stars out of 4
Disc: 4 stars out of 4 The reigning queen of the alternative country scene, angelic vocalist Alison Krauss recently found mainstream success with her collaborative album and tour with former Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant. "A Hundred Miles" doesn't include Plant but does feature among its 10 tracks four outstanding duets with James Taylor, John Waite, Tony Rice and Brad Paisley and it is the best in-studio/live effort of its kind. The pristine audio and crisp but unobtrusive visuals offer a nice compromise between the often shaky concert film and overtly sterile music video collections. Buy this and it will remain in your DVD player for weeks to come. Technical specifications: aspect ratio: Full screen (1.33:1), audio: English (Dolby Digital 5.1), subtitles: none. Special features include: Performer interviews (Rounder, $17.98)More like this story
