Location: Ida's Pizza Kitchen is located off of Pleasant Hill Road, down the road from Guitar Center.
Hours: The pizza eatery is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Owners: Dave Tehrani was an engineer before he and his wife Ida decided to venture into the pizza business. It worked out well, they have been in the business for 20 years. They have owned Ida's Pizza Kitchen for more than two years. The couple conveniently resides near the restaurant in Lawrenceville.
Atmosphere: Greeted by an oversized green frog perched on a mushroom, Ida's offers a relaxed and mellow environment. The owners aimed for a family-oriented restaurant with reasonable prices. The open-kitchen pizzeria is friendly and fun, and great for the family. Classic rock is the music of choice, and TVs and mushroom decor are found throughout the restaurant. As it should be at a pizza place, the atmosphere is casual and laid-back. Table and booth seating are available as well as moderate barstool seating.
Menu: Ida's offers a variety of pizzas, salads, calzones and hoagies all made from fresh ingredients. A popular menu item is Ida's Special, a pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, tomatoes, bacon, ham and extra cheese. Other unique items featured on the menu are the garlic and honey pretzels made from pizza dough. "They are really good," Ida said.
The oven-baked hoagie choices include steak and cheese, avocado, Italian, club, meatball and many more. The wide range of sandwiches satisfy varying tastes.
