Megan Rose Marano and Matthew Jeremy Morgenthal were married Aug. 2 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Winder. Father Ted Johnson and Deacon Nick Johnson officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of George and Debbie Marano of Winder. She is a graduate of Dacula High School and Kennesaw State University. She is employed by Gwinnett County Public Schools.
The groom is the son of Andrew and Margie Morgenthal of Lawrenceville. He is a 2002 graduate of Collins Hill High School. He is employed as a police officer.
Jamie Lynn Marano of Winder served as the bride's maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Bethany Biggs of Tyrone, Rebecca Chapman of Lawrenceville, Bethany Morgenthal of Lawrenceville, Jessica Robinson of Lawrenceville, Kerry Rode of Athens and Morgan Stampfel of Dacula. Summer Storm of Flowery Branch and Kara Lackey of Marietta served as flower girls.
Paul Merck of Washington served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were David Bozard of Athens, Doug Fleming of Dunwoody, Tim Fleming of Dunwoody, Frank Marano of Syracuse, N.Y., Ryan McCracken of Charleston, S.C., and Alex Meredith of Flowery Branch.
After a honeymoon on a cruise in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Winder.
