GEORGE J. Col George J. Patsios, age 92 of Lilburn, GA, died Friday, May 16, 2008. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife of 45 years, Celina Marie Patsios, and is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Corenne P. Patsios; sons, James (Sally) Patsios of Jonesboro, Rev. Richard (Cindi) Patsios of Trussville, AL; daughter, Jackie (Doug) Pierce of Alpharetta; stepson, Barry (Irene) Henline, of Statesville, NC; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A decorated colonel in the Georgia Air National Guard and former Commander of the 129th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron, Col. Patsios was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was an instructor at DeKalb Technical School, a founding member of Gwinnett Veterans Museum, in Lawrenceville, a Senior Net instructor and coach, a Ham radio operator, a member of the Lowrey Wellness Organ Club, in Snellville, a former member of Top of GA Camping Club, in Helen, a member of American Legion Post #232, in Snellville, and a manager and instructor with AT&T. Funeral services for Col. Patsios will be held at 12:30 pm, Monday, May 19, 2008 at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, with Rev. Deanna Lynch officiating. The body will Lie in State for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 pm, at the funeral home. Horis A.
