Mr. Robert "Red" Murphy, age 75, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. He is survived by his Wife of 52 years: Mrs. Karen Murphy, Buford, GA; Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Donna and Jeff Bergum, Buford, GA, Mary and Paul Anstedt, Hawthorn Woods, IL, Colleen and Kevin Groth, Lawrenceville, GA; Sons and Daughters-in-Law: William and Laura Murphy, Columbia, SC, Michael and Lisa Murphy, Boca Raton, FL; Twelve Grandchildren: Brian, Dan, Mike, Jenna, Matt, Sarah, Jim, Emily, Liam, Katie, R.J., and Meagan; Brother and Sister-in-Law: J. Pete and Katie Murphy, Lombard, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mr. Murphy was born in Kenosha, WI. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served in the Korean War. He was retired after 44 years of service from Simmons Co. in Atlanta, GA as a Marketing Director. He was a member of the Golden Gaters and a member of Prince Of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with remains placed in state at 9:30 a.m. at Prince Of Peace Catholic Church with Father Fred Wendel serving as Celebrant. Interment will be in Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA on June 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with military honors. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boys Town of America, P.O.
