Police: Man throws dishes at wife

SUWANEE - A woman told police her husband threw several dishes at her for not giving him an anti-depressant she is prescribed.

According to a police report, the woman said she had just removed her 3-year-old daughter from a bubble bath when her husband entered the bathroom and threw several dishes at her and began to yell. The woman then ran with her daughter into a bedroom and called police.

When officers arrived, the husband said he had thrown the plates because he was "enraged" his wife would not give him any Zoloft, the report said. He stated his alleged actions did not warrant arrest because he was only trying "to send her a message."

After being arrested for simple battery, he said he was going to sue the county for false arrest, according to the report.
