Shiloh seniors Eddie Mathis, Dychal Bowles and Josh Carr have signed to play baseball at the college level.
Mathis, an honorable mention all-county pick and a first-team all-region selection as a senior, has signed with Albany State. The center fielder is the son of Deborah and Eddie Mathis Sr.
Bowles, a Gwinnett Dugout Club player of the month for March, has signed with Savannah State. The third baseman is the son of Patrice and Daryl Bowles.
Carr, a second-team all-region pick, has signed with Andrew College. He is the son of Chris and Susan Carr.
Parkview to honor college-bound athletes
Parkview will host a ceremony today to honor basketball players and runners who are playing at the college level next season.
The basketball players honored will be Isaac Fisher (Gordon College), Bobby Glover (Bevill State College in Ala.), Josh Marshall (Gordon College) and Ryan Smith (Harvard, JV team). Teammate Yaw Gyawu signed in the early period with Colgate.
The college-bound runners are Aaron Gregg (Emory), Brett Richardson (Georgia State), Josh Pinson (Georgia State), J.J. van Tonder (Truett-McConnell), Marcelis Lynch (South Plains College in Texas), Lindsey Ebert (West Georgia) and Caroline Ward (Georgia).
Broncos' Jackson signs with Memphis
Brookwood senior Robert Jackson has signed a track and field scholarship with the University of Memphis. Jackson, a two-time Region 8-AAAAA champion this season, also placed fourth in the state in both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles.
Meadowcreek's Lee headed to Piedmont
Meadowcreek senior Josh Lee has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Piedmont College. Lee was a pitcher for the Mustangs.
