Mill Creek was selected as team of the year, and its coach, Doug Jones, was named coach of the year in the All-Region 7-AAAAA baseball team released Tuesday.
Norcross' Forrest Garrett was the pitcher of the year as based on voting by the coaches in 7-AAAAA. Mill Creek's Johnny Knight and North Forsyth's Bones Dalken were co-players of the year. The first-team pitchers of the year were Mill Creek's Brandon Bast, Peachtree Ridge's David Randall, Norcross' Tyler Roach, North Gwinnett's Wyatt Brown and South Forsyth's Chris Rowley. The first-team position players were Mill Creek's Noah Hanley, North's Peter Poole, Ronnie Stewart and Jim Moreland, Norcross' Travis Ragsdale, Collins Hill's Michael Adams, South Forsyth's Curtis Parker and Forsyth Central's Dustin Cannon. Players on the second team were Mill Creek's Matt Grimes, Brian Holmes and Jacob German, Collins Hill's Nick Squeglia, Tommy Yeo and Grant Earls, Duluth's Reid Merven and Luke Jordan, South Forsyth's Chad Ward, Will Gates and Zach Alvard and North Forsyth's Tyler Slaton.More like this story
