Parkview hosts Relay fundraiser
LILBURN - The Parkview Baseball Dugout Club is hosting a Comedy and Family Fun Night tonight to benefit Relay for Life. The event will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Parkview's new gymnasium. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the door. Entertainment includes warm-up live music and comedy acts. Free day at park DULUTH - Old McDaniel Day will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McDaniel Farm Park. The free event will feature live music, Civil War re-enactors, animals, hay rides, and arts and crafts. Baseball benefit set AUBURN - The third annual Auburn Dixie Youth benefit will be held Saturday. Tickets cost $10 for adults and are free for children. The wrestling event will be held at the Auburn ballpark at 8 p.m., with gates opening at 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit Auburn Dixie Youth baseball and softball. For more information, call 678-851-6856. Film to be screened LAWRENCEVILLE - Cinematographer Steven Panayioto will be at the Experimental Aircraft Association Sport Aviation Center at Gwinnett County's Briscoe Field Friday at 8 p.m. He will screen the digitally re-mastered production "Rare Vintage Air." Road meeting today SUWANEE - Suwanee will host a public information meeting tonight about an upcoming improvement project for Eva Kennedy Road. The meeting will be at the Suwanee Crossroads Center, at 323 Buford Highway, from 4 to 7 p.m. It will be an open house-style meeting. Proposed improvements include adding curbs and gutters, replacing the sidewalk on the south side of the roadway and installing three oval-shaped, landscaped islands.More like this story
