Bandit targets store twice
DACULA - A Dacula convenience store employee said a man who robbed his business in late April returned for a repeat performance last week.
A black man wielding a silver handgun robbed a Fast Trip in the 2100 block of Winder Highway on April 28, the victim said. The same suspect tried to gain entrance to the business Thursday night, but all doors were locked.
The employee said the man pointed the handgun and demanded he open the door, but the victim refused.
The suspect is described as a black man, age 27, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds with short hair. He wore a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and a mask.
Man arrested at gas station
NORCROSS - A Norcross man was arrested Saturday for "becoming violent" with gas station patrons who declined to give him money, police said.
Police found the 23-year-old Hispanic man harassing customers at a QuikTrip in the 6000 block of Singleton Road, according to a police report.
Employees there told police the man was panhandling and getting violent with patrons who shunned him.
The man admitted to drinking 10 beers and asking patrons for money, the report said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to jail.
