Mrs. Willie Dean Hamrick, 82, of Dahlonega, GA, formerly of Duluth, GA, died April 29, 2008. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 2nd, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross with Pastor Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1st, from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Cecil M. Hamrick and son, Jackie M. Hamrick, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Donna Hamrick of Centre, AL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra & Lamar Orr of Cumming, GA and Peggy & Larry Newton of Dawsonville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Hoyt & Louise Dispain of Duluth, GA; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hamrick was born in Gwinnett County on Dec. 17, 1925. She was a lifetime member of Concord Baptist Church, Duluth, GA, in the Warsaw community. She was a devoted wife and mother and loving granny. She had a passion for the outdoors, loved deer hunting and anything the grandchildren wanted to do.
