Letter to the editor: Waste Pro remains committed to quality after recent merger

In reference to the article by Arielle Kass on the front page of the March 26 paper ("Troubled trash company to fix problems with merger"), we respond with appreciation and with some additional information.

It is important to add to the news conveyed in the article that Waste Pro was and is a fully licensed residential hauler in Gwinnett County. Our purchase of A-Z last summer was followed by a unanimous vote by the County Commission approving a name change to Waste Pro as the licensee. Our commitment to a seamless transition from A-Z to Waste Pro was made with the support of all of the A-Z management staff and front-line people who have continued to provide great services in Gwinnett County as part of the Waste Pro family.

Similarly, the good people of Quality Waste are now part of the Waste Pro family, and they will continue to help us build upon our combined reputation for great services at fair prices throughout the county. To avoid confusion, all vehicles will be repainted to Waste Pro's specifications, and all billings and customer service functions will reflect Waste Pro as the provider.

We appreciate the good work of the Gwinnett Daily Post and its staff, and we appreciate the opportunity to add to the reference story.
