NORCROSS - A former Phoenix High School student was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation involving two of his relatives and their friend, arrest warrants show.
Jose Eduardo Perez, 18, faces two counts of aggravated sexual battery against two girls, which arrest warrants reveal are related to him. He also faces a child molestation charge involving a friend of the girls. The first documented instance of aggravated sexual battery allegedly occurred about three years ago involving his then 9-year-old relative, an arrest warrant states. The most recent aggravated sexual battery incident allegedly took place last New Year's Eve during which Perez was baby-sitting the girls and a friend and involved his then 8-year-old relative. On that same night, he is also alleged to have molested the then 9-year-old friend. Gwinnett County Public Schools spokesman Jorge Quintana said Perez, who lives in Norcross, withdrew from Phoenix High School Thursday. Norcross police would not comment on the report.More like this story
