Harris Elmo Bagwell, 86, of Duluth, died March 24, 2008. A Funeral Service will be held at Duluth First Baptist Church at 3PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, with Dr. David Parker officiating. Interment Duluth Church Cemetery. Harris was born in Duluth and was a member of Duluth First Baptist Church. He was a Army/Air Corp veteran of World War II. After he retired from General Motors, Harris worked as a baliff with Gwinnett County for 14 years, He loved his garden and was the subject of Ann Parsons Odum's picture, “The Last Garden in Duluth”. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Bagwell of Duluth; sons, George (Nancy) Bagwell of Duluth and Brian (Michele) Bagwell of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Melissa Bagwell LaCoursiere, Kinsey Bagwell, Connor Bagwell and Kevin Bagwell; and his sister, Mary Williams of Suwanee, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Duluth Chapel, 770-476-2535.
