The Mill Creek Cluster Education Foundation is now selling tickets for its first Tour of Homes, said Lisa Daenen, the organization's director.
The tour will feature seven homes of Drayton Hall, a gated community on Camp Branch Road of homes worth at least $1 million. Daenen said that subdivision was chosen because it's in the Mill Creek cluster.
"Everyone we've talked to is really excited and anxious to see the homes," Daenen said.
The tours will begin at 1 and 2 p.m. April 20. Tickets purchased in advance cost $20, while tickets purchased the day of the tour cost $25. Purchases can be made at any Mill Creek cluster school or online at www.mccef.com.
The tour is a fundraiser for the Foundation, Daenen said. Since the organization's inception, 100 percent of its endowment has been used to provide grants to teachers at Mill Creek schools and scholarships to Mill Creek High students who are pursuing a higher degree in education.
This year, the Foundation has given 12 grants to five schools, totaling $10,000, Daenen said. To date, the organization has given away more than $20,000 in grants and $4,000 in scholarships.
