Hartwell and Mari Wash of Lawrenceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lesli Marie Waldrop of Winder, to Matthew Wayne Carter of Winder, son of Wayne and Karen Carter of Lawrenceville.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Jack P. Waldrop Jr. She is the granddaughter of Walter and Mary Holst of Doraville and Jack and Nancy Waldrop of Carrollton. She is a graduate of Berkmar High School and Georgia Southwestern State University. She is employed by Gwinnett County Schools as a health and P.E. teacher at Lanier Middle School. The future groom is the grandson of Earl and Wynelle McMillan of Lilburn and the late J.W. and Offie Carter of Lawrenceville. He is a graduate of Berkmar High School and Valdosta Technical College. He is employed by Cobalt Electric. The wedding is planned for April 5 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Atlanta.More like this story
