ZONING CASES - Action Taken: The following action was taken by the Gwinnett Planning Commission on Tuesday. Those zoning requests not tabled will be forwarded with a recommendation to the County Commission for a final vote March 25 at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.

1. Tabled to April 15: A requested rezoning from low-density residential to senior-oriented development for 8.76 acres east of Lawrenceville to be developed as 33 senior-oriented residences. The property is at the 1100 block of Alcovy Road. The applicant is Christopher Albright, Virginia Beach, Va., and the owner is Albright Hershel Development, Norfolk, Va. RZM-08-005

2. Approve with conditions as R-100: A requested rezoning from agricultural residential to modified low-density residential for 33.19 acres south of Dacula to be developed as a modified single-family subdivision with 91 homes. The property is at the 1900-2100 block of Givens Road. The applicant is Mahaffey Pickens Tucker, Lawrenceville, and the owner is Mark Wages, Atlanta. RZR-08-001

3. Deny: A requested special-use permit to allow smaller lots for 33.19 acres south of Dacula to be developed as a modified single-family subdivision with 91 homes. 4. 6. Tabled to March 18: A requested change in conditions to reduce buffers and allow a church on 6.18 acres east of Lilburn and a special-use permit to allow the development of a church parking lot.
