LAWRENCEVILLE - A preliminary hearing in the case of Anthony Terrell Jr. has been postponed.
Terrell, 17, faces murder charges in the shooting deaths of his mother Joy Deleston - a Gwinnett County sheriff's deputy - and sisters Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4. The family was found dead in their Lawrenceville home last week. According to a court official, the hearing has been rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 13 in the Gwinnett County Jail. Terrell is being held in the DeKalb County Jail because his mother worked for the Gwinnett sheriff. A funeral for the Delestons is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church on James Island, S.C., and mother and daughters will be buried following the funeral at Stem Point Cemetery on James Island, according to Alexander's Mortuary in Fairburn. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Palmetto Mortuary in Charleston, S.C.More like this story
