DULUTH - Three masked suspects abducted a Duluth woman from her apartment Monday, demanding she lead them to money stored at the check-cashing business where she works, police said.
The woman, who lives at the Idlewylde Apartment complex on Boggs Road, was not injured. Police didn't have descriptions for the suspects late Tuesday, said Gwinnett police spokesman Officer David Schiralli. The victim arrived home with her two small children about 11 p.m. Monday to find the robbers waiting for her outside her apartment. They followed her into her home, demanding money in a safe at Atlanta Check Cashers in Lilburn, Schiralli said. "One of the suspects stayed at the apartment with her two children while the other two drove" the victim to Lilburn, Schiralli said. The victim gave her captors an undisclosed amount of money. They returned her to Duluth and fled in another vehicle, police said. Schiralli said the victim found her two children unharmed in her apartment. The investigation is ongoing. Police urge anyone with information to call investigators at 770-513-5300.More like this story
