Building burned in Lilburn fire

LILBURN - A grass fire burned a fence, backyard building and two lawns Monday afternoon.

The cause of the fire is unknown, said Capt. Thomas Rutledge, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Fire Department. It destroyed the building, scorched two yards and caused smoke damage to a fence on Whispering Willow Way in Lilburn.

The fire was under control at 4:02 p.m. after being called in at 3:41 p.m., Rutledge said. No homes were involved in the blaze.
