Lightning blamed for home fire
LAWRENCEVILLE - A late night lightning storm is to blame for a fire at a Lawrenceville residence. Firefighters found smoke showing from a two-story house off Springrock Hill Trail in Lawrenceville. The fire on the main floor caused moderate to extensive damage to the residence, Gwinnett fire spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge said. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Rutledge said lightning may have hit a tree and traveled through a gas line.More like this story
