Phillip Rodney Hamilton, age 60, of Stone Mountain, Ga. passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Geraldine Hamilton, sons, Michael Kevin Hamilton of Winder, Ga., Gregory Keith Hamilton, of Sumpter, S.C., son & daughter-in-law, Darrell E. & Dawn Wallace of Walnut Grove, Ga., daughter, Wanda R. Mize, of Winder, Ga., eight grandchildren, and mother-in-law, Lorene Rainey of Covington, Ga. Mr. Hamilton was a member of Camp Creek Primitive Baptist Church for 45 years. He was formerly employed with Krispy Creme, and with Flowers Industries Inc., where he was in sales. Mr. Hamilton was an avid baseball fan. He loved his DAWGS, and loved to write poems. In 1976 he wrote a poem about Jimmy Carter, for which he received recognition from President Carter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Camp Creek Primitive Baptist Church, with interment to follow at the church cemetery.
