SUWANEE - The Gwinnett County Board of Education on Thursday will conduct its annual review of individual students' preliminary Gateway scores.
School board members will meet in executive session Thursday afternoon to decide if fourth-, fifth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students who failed a portion of the Gateway - but made an A, B or C in class - will be promoted.
School system officials will review the board's decisions during the 7 p.m. business meeting, which is open to the public. The meeting will be held at the Instructional Support Center at 437 Old Peachtree Road N.W. in Suwanee.
Also during the meeting, the board will review the start-up charter school application for the proposed Millennium Scholars Academy.
