Ginger Hiland of Jefferson and Lamar Hiland of Danielsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Rose Hiland of Jefferson, to Gregory Scott Pethel of Braselton, son of Susan Pethel of Braselton and Scott Pethel of Flowery Branch.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ben Crisler of Brandon, Fla., and Martha Crisler of Jefferson and Rosemary Bayes of Maysville and the late Cecil Hiland. She is a 2005 graduate of Jefferson High School. The future groom is the grandson of Jane Johnson of Braselton and the late William Johnson and the late Alton Wesley Pethel and the late Lula Mae Pethel. He is a 2001 graduate of Jackson County Comprehensive High School.
