BUFORD - The death of a man discovered in a pool of blood inside a Buford residence Thursday evening has been a ruled a homicide, police said.
The body of the unidentified man was discovered by police after an anonymous caller phoned-in a tip regarding a person bleeding inside the residence - located in the 2400 block of Buford Dam Road - according to Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli. Authorities were not able to immediately identify the man and could not specify how old he was late Thursday. Upon arriving at the residence at about 5:20 p.m. Thursday, officers knocked several times but no one answered, Schiralli said. Police then entered an open back door and discovered the black male lying in a pool of blood on the floor. He was pronounced dead at the scene. "We have not determined if there was any type of forced entry yet," Schiralli said. The home is a rental property and the man was neither the renter nor the owner of the house, authorities said.More like this story
