More than 360 Girl Scouts and scout assistants, known as "Pals," attended Lilburn Girl Scout Day Camp over the past five days at Lilburn City Park.
Popular activities included the creek walk, outdoor cooking, camping, crafts and science projects. One-hundred and twenty Girl Scouts from Gwinnett, DeKalb and Cobb counties spent the night in the park Wednesday evening. Girl Scouts strives to promote confidence, courage and character while trying to develop skills in the areas of relating to others, developing values, contributing to society and developing your own potential. "So many kids don't have an opportunity to experience the outdoors these days," said Martha Whitman, director of Lilburn Day Camp.
