NORCROSS - Police on Monday identified a driver killed during the weekend in a three-car pileup on northbound Interstate 85.
Latoya Johnson, 23, died at the scene of the 4:45 a.m. crash Saturday after her 2005 Scion struck a 2003 Ford Taurus near the Beaver Ruin Road overpass, police said. A family friend said Johnson, who lived in Suwanee, was a native of Burlington, N.C. Police said the third car, a 2007 Honda Accord, struck Johnson's vehicle from behind after the initial crash. All three people in the Honda remain in critical condition at Gwinnett Medical Center, Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said. Police charged the Honda's driver, Session Holt III, 38, of Clearwater, Fla., with DUI and following too closely. Police identified Holt's passengers Monday as Darroyn Greene and Scott Walker, both of St. Petersburg, Fla. They have not been charged with any crimes, police said. The three people in the Taurus were treated and released at the scene.More like this story
