BUFORD - The Great Escape Stadium 14 cinemas opened July 11 at Interstate 85 North and Hamilton Mill.
The 14-screen theater boasts a modern look, with all-stadium seating, high-back rocking chairs, retractable armrests, Dolby surround sound and 3-D Digital screens. In addition, the theater has lobby ticketing kiosks and a birthday party room. Last week, it opened with "Journey to the Center of the Earth" showing on the two 3-D screens, and Thursday, it presented a special midnight showing of "The Dark Knight" with free popcorn. The theater, which is part of Alliance Entertainment, is the first development planned in the Hamilton Mill area by Morgan Development. Restaurants, retail shops and parking decks are to arrive in the future.More like this story
