Walton County Delivery Point Improvements

at Transco

Separate sealed Bids for the construction of a new natural gas pressure regulating and metering station , and other related gas facilities to be located at the Owner's Walton County delivery point in Monroe, Georgia will be received by the City of Buford at City Hall located at 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia, until 10:00 A. M. local time, July 31, 2008, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project generally includes the installation of a pressure regulating and metering station and approximately 350 linear feet of 16-inch steel natural gas main and other appurtenances. The Owner will provide all 16-inch steel pipe, 10-inch line valves and valve boxes, four (4) pilot operated pressure regulators, a turbine meter, an electronic volume corrector, a gas filter, two (2) pilot heaters and all 6-inch and larger block valves. Contractor to provide all 12-inch and smaller pipe, all pipe fittings, joint coating materials, concrete, temporary erosion control materials, and all accessories required for a complete, properly functioning system. Contractor will furnish all equipment required for installation, cleaning and testing.

The location of the Work is in Walton County, Georgia, along Georgia SR 11 and approximately one-half mile north of US Highway 78..

No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds Georgia State Contractor's License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14. Contractor must be a qualified natural gas contractor under the laws of the State of Georgia and must comply with any Federal, State, and City guidelines and regulations.

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting applications from Contractors for annual pre-qualification to furnish labor, materials and equipment for the installation, replacement and / or relocation of gravity sanitary sewer mains and appurtenances at various locations throughout Gwinnett County.

Special Conditions: The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources shall comply with O.C.G.A § 36-91-20 as amended for mandatory pre-qualification of prospective bidders. Therefore, interested applicants should obtain an Annual Pre-Qualification Application For the Installation, Replacement and/or Relocation of Gravity Sanitary Sewer Mains and Appurtenances, from the Gwinnett County Purchasing Office, 75 Langley Drive, 2nd Floor, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045 (Telephone No. 770-822-8720). Applications will be evaluated based on the established criteria as stated in the application. All qualified and disqualified applicants will be notified in writing. Contractors will be considered "pre-qualified" upon issuance of the notification of pre-qualification. Pre-qualified Contractors will remain "pre-qualified" until the County determines otherwise.
