Luxury RV park opens in Athens

ATHENS - Bulldog Park, a privately owned luxury RV tailgating facility, is having a grand opening from 4 to 7 p.m. today.

Former University of Georgia standouts Kevin Butler, David Greene and David Pollack, who are owners in the park, will be present for the opening, which will include beverages, food and live entertainment.

The park is located on Hancock Road, which is adjacent to Olympic Drive. On game days, continuous shuttle service to Sanford Stadium will be available to space owners and their guests.

North students participate in conference

SUWANEE - The Atlanta Chapter of the Military Order of World Wars sponsored the attendance of outstanding high school students to the Order's Youth Leadership Conference.

North Gwinnett High students Wyatt McCausland and Andrew Hatch were among those selected to attend the conference in Charleston, S.C. The two were nominated by Maj. Bruce Bonds and Chief Master Sgt. Mike Shannon, their Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps instructors.

The Military Order's primary mission is the patriotic education of America's youth. During the conference, students learn about personal responsibility, democratic government, good citizenship and the value of free enterprise.

Cherie Pritchard named chair of HR society

DULUTH - Cherie Pritchard, vice president of human resources client services for Flex HR, was recently named chairwoman for the Society of Human Resource Management for the Northeast Atlanta Geographical Emphasis Meeting.

The Geographical Emphasis Meeting is one of six metro Atlanta meetings held by Society members seeking to further develop their networking and professional development opportunities. The meeting serves members in Duluth, John's Creek, Norcross, Lawrenceville, Suwanee, Buford and Gwinnett County.

In addition to being an active leader in the Society, Pritchard is involved in many other Atlanta business organizations. She served as the chapter president for the American Society for Training and Development, the founder and chapter president of the Capital City Exchange Club of America and the president for the College of Business Alumni Association at Florida State University.
