LAWRENCEVILLE - Nearly 200 students participated Friday in Gwinnett County Public Schools' summer graduation ceremony.
Jorge Quintana, the school district's spokesman, said 260 students earned their high school diplomas after taking summer school classes. Of those, 197 walked in the commencement. "These young people can be very proud of their accomplishments," Quintana said. "We join their families and friends and celebrate with them as they become high school graduates." About 8,500 students graduated from Gwinnett County schools this year.More like this story
