LAWRENCEVILLE - Advanced voting began Monday for the July 15 primary election.
Gwinnett Elections Superintendent Lynn Ledford said all five voting locations in the county had a steady stream of voters, with more than 200 coming to the Lawrenceville election office, typically the highest volume location. "Everybody's had a steady flow, not an overwhelming amount, all day long," Ledford said, adding that the crowds were larger than she expected because absentee voting had been low. Voters can cast ballots for any reason all this week at the five locations: · Gwinnett Elections and Voter Registration Office at 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200, Lawrenceville · Centerville Community Center, 3025 Bethany Church Road, Snellville · George Pierce Community Center, 55 Buford Highway, Suwanee · Dacula Activity Building, 2735 Old Auburn Road, Dacula · Singleton Road Activity Building, 5220 Singleton Road, Norcross The main office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the four satellite sites open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Voters must bring a photo ID to participate.More like this story
