grad, is giving private hitting and fielding instruction this offseason at

Feb. 11: The Suwanee Sports Academy's SWISH! - a competitive shooting league

begins for boys grades 3-12 and girls grades 6-9. SWISH! is for teams of 3

to 5 players who will compete in a series of shooting contests against other

teams. Cost is $75 for an individual registration or $200 per team of 3 to 5

July 12: The Buford Trout Hatchery in Cumming will host a beginning

fly-fishing clinic for boys and girls ages 10-15 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The clinic will provide everything from basic instruction, equipment, knots,

insect identification and fly-casting. Cost is $15 and lunch will be

provided, but the clinic is limited to the first 36 who register. For more

Running

Feb. 2: The EXTERRA Trail Running Series will start its year with the

Runnin' the Rocks 10K Trail Run at the Georgia International Horse Park in

tournament to help raise money for the Jarrett Boston Foundation at Georgia

College and State University. The men's division will start at 9 a.m., the
