The Housing Authority of the City of Buford, Georgia, 2050 Hutchins Street Buford, Georgia 30518 will receive bids for Capital Fund Program to Bathrooms Renovations of Low-Rent Housing Projects GA091001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006 & 007 in Buford, Georgia .

Bids will be received until 11:00 A.M. , Local Time on the 13th day of February , 2008 at the main office of the Housing Authority at 2050 Hutchins Street, Buford, Georgia 30518 . At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Proposals submitted by mail should be addressed to the Housing Authority at the address set out above and plainly marked as indicted in the "Instructions to Bidders," Section B. All proposals submitted by mail will be collected at the above mentioned mailing address at _11:00_A.M. , Local Time, on the day mentioned above and held unopened at the office of the Housing Authority until _11:00_A.M. , at which time they will be opened with those that have been hand delivered.

Bidding Documents, including Plans and Specifications, are on file at the office of the Harper Aiken Donahue Partners, Inc., 2722 Piedmont Road, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30305, Post Office Box 52639, Atlanta, Georgia 30355 and at the office of the Housing Authority at the above address.

Plans and specifications may be ordered from the Architect's Office in Atlanta. Prime Contractors, Subcontractors and Material Suppliers may purchase sets of the documents for the cost of reproduction which is $50 per set. This $50 is not refundable. Each request for plans and specifications should indicate that the request is for a prime contractor or otherwise.

A certified check, or bank draft, drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation made payable to the Owner or a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond Form contained in the Specifications in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.

No bids may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner.

The General Contractors submitting bids or being considered for this work shall be licensed to perform such work by the State in which the work is located and shall submit evidence of such license before his bid may be opened or considered.

All contractors shall be required to comply with the equal employment requirements of the Federal Government, and to specifically comply with 24 CFR Part 135 which requires that employment and other economic opportunities generated by this contract shall, to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low and very low income persons, particularly those persons who live in the projects where this work will be done.

Attention is called to the fact that salaries not less than the Davis-Bacon wage rates as published by the U.S. Department of Labor and as set forth in the Specifications must be paid on this Project.

All dwelling units are occupied and will be turned over to the contractor in phases, as set forth in the specifications, with the notice to proceed.

Please address all questions regarding plans and specifications, or bidding procedure to the Architect and not to the Housing Authority.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Evermore Community Improvement District (CID) invites engineering firms to propose on the engineering design for intersection improvements to Walton Ct (re-alignment of old Highway 78) in unincorporated Gwinnett County. The project is funded through the ARC Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) program. The firms proposing on this work shall be pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. The selection of the engineering firm will be based on the Qualifications-Based Selection (QBS) process. The requested engineering work will include the concept report, environmental clearance, preliminary plans, right-of-way plans, and final construction plans. The CID will be the responsible party for program management of this phase of work. The project is currently scheduled in the ARC 2008-2013 TIP with the PE phase in FY 2009. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held at 2342 Oak Rd (Snellville City Hall), Snellville, Georgia, 30078; 1st Floor Conference Room on February 11th at 10:00 AM. Sealed technical proposals only (no fee proposal) will be accepted until 10:00 AM on February 15th, 2008 at the offices of the Evermore CID, located at 2463 Heritage Square; Suite 106, Snellville, Georgia 30078. The envelope shall be labeled as follows: "Evermore CID, Walton Ct. Intersection Design Technical Proposal Submittal".
