Geneva Crymes Murphy, age 89 of Duluth, died January 26, 2008. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday January 30, 2008 at Duluth First Baptist Church, with Rev. Dick Baker and Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating. Interment Duluth Church Cemetery. Mrs. Murphy was born in Milton County, GA and worked for Parson's Department Store, Vantress Farms and Southern Railroad for a number of years. She was a member of Duluth First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver J. Murphy and is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Gail Murphy of Duluth, David and Janie Murphy of Suwanee, daughter and son-in-law Betsy and Perry Bruce of Duluth, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, Ga. 30096 or Duluth First Baptist Church, in memory of Mrs Murphy. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bill Head Funeral Home and Crematory, Duluth Chapel 770-476-2535.
