LILBURN - Yaw Gyawu finished with 25 points on Tuesday night to surpass Tony Rhine as Parkview's all-time leading scorer in the Panthers' 78-49 win over Grayson.
Gyawu, who also had 17 rebounds, upped his career total to 1,417 points. The win boosted the Panthers to 14-4 overall and 6-1 in Region 8-AAAAA. Grayson was led by 16 points from Javarris Smith.
Duluth 61, South Forsyth 54
DULUTH - Five players scored in double-figures for Duluth, led by 14 from Armand Tatum, as the Wildcats knocked off South Forsyth 61-54 in Region 7-AAAAA.
Justin Eckard scored 13, Antonio Falls had 11, while Terry Charles and Jarrett Christian each finished with 10. Tatum also had six rebounds as Duluth improved to 4-17 overall and 2-10 in the region.
Collins Hill 73, Forsyth Central 52
SUWANEE - Jeremy Olsen of Collins Hill scored 19 points and hauled in 18 rebounds to lead the Eagles 73-52 over Forsyth Central on Tuesday in Region 7-AAAAA.
Andrew Anderson added 13 points for Collins Hill (15-7, 8-4) while Kameron Phillips finished with 11 points, six assists and five steals.
Central Gwinnett 47, Brookwood 42
SNELLVILLE - Brian Williams scored 19 points and Devonta' White added 11 more as Central Gwinnett posted a 47-42 win over Brookwood on Tuesday.
The win evened Central's record to 9-9 overall and 4-4 in Region 8-AAAAA. Brookwood was led by 10 points from Nate Hamilton.
Meadowcreek 63, South 60
NORCROSS - Teondre Williams of Meadowcreek banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer from past half court to give the Mustangs a 63-60 win over South Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Williams finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals while Jarvis Brown added 13 points and eight rebounds for Meadowcreek (12-5, 5-2). Mario Vasser led South with 15 points.
Berkmar 78, Shiloh 60
LILBURN - Berkmar jumped out to a 20-0 lead over Shiloh on Tuesday as the Patriots went on to defeat the Generals 78-60 in Region 8-AAAAA.
Vantae Rucker led Berkmar (12-4, 6-1) with 19 points. while Demarion Gordon added 16 points.
Dacula 51, Clarke Central 43
ATHENS - Trent Kammerer scored 31 points on Tuesday to lead Dacula to a 51-43 win over Clarke Central.
Kammerer also finished with eight rebounds as Dacula improved to 19-1 overall and 10-0 in Region 8-AAAA.
Apalachee 66, Stephens Co. 62
WINDER - Chaun Gresham and Shane Sargent each finished with 18 points on Tuesday as Apalachee held off Stephens County 66-62 in Region 8-AAA.
Diamond Gerring added 14 points for Apalachee (7-12, 4-5) while Sargent grabbed 11 rebounds and Gresham finished with nine rebounds and four steals.
Lakeview Academy 76, Providence 53
GAINESVILLE - David Pruett scored 30 points on Tuesday night to lead Lakeview Academy over Providence Christian 76-53.
Providence (6-12) was led by 15 points from Jesse Meier and 11 points from Westley Hinton.
Parkview 66, Grayson 32
LILBURN - Maggie Smith scored 14 points and Sczeny Hartry followed with 13 more on Tuesday in helping Parkview to a 66-32 win over Grayson in Region 8-AAAAA.
Parkview improved to 16-2 overall and 7-0 in the region. Ashley Leach led Grayson with eight points.
South 54, Meadowcreek 45
NORCROSS - Kia Clarke scored 18 points and pulled down 12 rebounds on Tuesday to lead South Gwinnett over Meadowcreek 54-45 in a Region 8-AAAAA game.
Lindsay Nagy and Latoya Laing each added 10 points for South (6-8, 5-2).
Meadowcreek (2-15, 0-7) received a game-best 20 points from Genea Williams while Brooke Wigfall added 15 points. Aaryn Sells also had eight points and seven rebounds for the Mustangs while Massy Soumahoro finished with 19 rebounds and nine blocks.
Berkmar 54, Shiloh 31
LILBURN - Tyra Smith scored 14 points on Tuesday to help lift Berkmar over Shiloh 54-31 in Region 8-AAAAA.
Gabby Harvey and Brittany McDonald each scored 10 for Berkmar (16-2, 6-1) while Shiloh was led by Nicole Fifer with 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals.
Central Gwinnett 41, Brookwood 37
SNELLVILLE - Dria David of Central Gwinnett led all scorers with 18 points on Tuesday in pacing the Black Knights over Brookwood 41-37 in Region 8-AAAAA action.
Jasmine Scott added 11 points for Central (10-7, 5-3) while Brookwood (5-12, 4-3) received 14 points from Katie Mallow and 12 points from Jamey Chapman.
Norcross 45, Peachtree Ridge 32
NORCROSS - Tiffany Clarke finished with 19 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks on Tuesday to lead Norcross over Peachtree Ridge 45-32.
Nicole Jones added 10 points and four steals while Kayla Nolan provided a boost off the bench with four points and five rebounds for the Blue Devils (10-8, 7-5). Peachtree Ridge fell to 9-10 overall and 4-8 in Region 7-AAAAA.
Collins Hill 53, Forsyth Central 51
SUWANEE - Collins Hill received 16 points and six assists from Nikki Urbizo on Tuesday as the Eagles nipped Forsyth Central 53-51 in a Region 7-AAAAA contest.
Marissa Rimbert added 14 points and eight rebounds for Collins Hill (11-8, 7-5) while Winnie Markey led Forsyth Central with 14 points.
Duluth 61, South Forsyth 52
DULUTH - Duluth improved to 14-6 overall and 8-4 in Region 7-AAAAA by beating South Forsyth 61-52 on Tuesday.
Mykala Walker scored 16 to lead Duluth while Alex Shaw chipped in with 13 points.
Loganville 60, Winder-Barrow 30
LOGANVILLE - Enisha Donley led all scorers with 19 points on Tuesday night as Loganville downed Winder-Barrow 60-30. Loganville improved to 15-3 overall and 10-2 in Region 8-AAAA.
Mimi Hall led Winder-Barrow with eight points.
GAC 70, Avondale 37
NORCROSS - Briana Jordan of Greater Atlanta Christian led all scorers with 20 points as the Spartans cruised to a 70-37 win over Avondale in Region 6-AA.
Anjelica Wilcox added 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for GAC (16-1, 12-0) while Chaney Means finished with 12 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Lakeview Academy 43, Providence 33
GAINESVILLE - Providence dropped to 12-6 overall and 6-1 in Region 5-A, Div. B on Tuesday as the Stars fell 43-33 to Lakeview Academy.
Caroline Adams led Providence with 12 points and nine rebounds while Summar Corley finished with six points and four boards.
Hebron 49, Athens Academy 27
ATHENS - Hebron led 27-20 at the half and pulled away in the second half with a 22-7 run as the Lions defeated Athens Academy 49-27 in Region 8-A play.
Olivia Clark logged her first double-double for Hebron (8-6, 3-1) with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Britt Pecht added 15 points, nine rebounds and five steals while Rachel Duval chipped in with eight points.
