NORCROSS - A man found shot to death inside his vehicle Saturday afternoon has been identified as a 57-year-old Norcross man.
Police said Herbert J. Higgins' body was found in the driver's seat of the vehicle and attribute his death to a gunshot to the head. Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said Saturday someone discovered the vehicle and Higgins' body in the car parked at the Wesley Paces apartment complex at 4300 Jimmy Carter Blvd. about 4 p.m. She said no suspects had been found. Police could not provide many other details Monday about the incident they have labeled a homicide. Gwinnett police spokesman David Schiralli said at the time he could not provide a description of the vehicle in which Higgins was found or other specifics of the crime.
