BERKELEY LAKE - City leaders have signed a contract with an architectural firm to design the new City Hall building, according to an announcement made by Mayor Lois Salter during Thursday night's City Council meeting.
City Council members voted to appoint Berkeley Lake resident Barbara Carroll as a project manager in this next phase of the building project.
Carroll has worked closely with Urban Collage, the consulting company that's brought the project to this point. Carroll has extensive knowledge in project management as well as experience working with architects. She will act as liaison between a three-member appointed committee, council and the architect.
New council members take seats
Council members Rebecca Spitler and Frank Lombardi sat in their council seats at the first regularly called meeting and public hearing of 2008 Thursday night. The pair occupy seats previously held by George Sipe and Bernie Cohen.
