Man's truck damaged while awaiting repair
DORAVILLE - A Doraville man's pickup truck was stripped of its original seats and burglarized while parked outside a Doraville body shop for a week, a police report said.
The 30-year-old owner of the truck said with the manager's permission he left the vehicle parked at the Gwinnett Body Paint Shop on Buford Highway while he waited for insurance to be approved.
The man left the truck at the shop Jan. 8 and when he returned Saturday to retrieve some items from the vehicle he discovered the seats had been ripped out and replaced with an older set.
Personal items were also stolen from the vehicle and the key the owner had left with the shop was found in the ignition.
