Thief falls through ceiling of home
LAWRENCEVILLE - The person responsible for stealing 12 feet of copper tubing from a Lawrenceville home fell through the floor of the unfinished residence before fleeing, a police report said.
A construction supervisor found a window broken and a hole in the upstairs ceiling when he was checking the home on Ivey Dale Lane on Tuesday afternoon.
The supervisor told police he did not know who would have broken into the home.
Dog put in closet while home searched
SNELLVILLE - A Snellville woman's dog was locked in a closet inside her home Wednesday while someone rummaged through the home, opening drawers.
According to a police report, the woman returned to her home on Karen Lane shortly after 3 p.m. finding her home in disarray.
Authorities discovered a basement door had been kicked open. Nothing was reported stolen from the home.
$200 plus stolen from tuxedo business
DULUTH - A Duluth business was robbed of more than $200 Wednesday by a gun wielding man, according to a police report.
A white man entered Mr. Tux on Gwinnett Place Drive about 8 p.m. demanding an employee empty the register.
The man stuffed coins and cash into the pouch of his sweatshirt and fled the store in a black passenger car.
